James Matthews
Executive Director

James Matthews holds four Bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, Irvine and two Masters degrees in Educational Psychology and School Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. James is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Throughout his two decades of working in ABA, he has worked with thousands of children and families both in schools and in private practice. James lives in Spokane WA. Professionally, James has dedicated his life to helping all people with disabilities. He is deeply passionate about helping people who are most in need during the time when they most need it. He feels strongly that ABA can confer meaningful lifelong skills that both enrich and enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Chelsea Riley
Chelsea Riley
Regional Director

Chelsea Riley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She worked in the field of behavior analysis while employed through agencies in Wisconsin, Washington, and Idaho before obtaining her Master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Functional Analysis from Gonzaga University in 2016. She is currently in pursuit of her PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis. Chelsea lives in Spokane Valley with her husband, two dogs, and their cat. Professionally, Chelsea has dedicated her time and effort with families and individuals with disabilities who are in need of support and guidance. She is excited to further expand upon research in this area as well as act as a voice for those who do not have one within this unique community.

Jailyn VanSickle
Behavior Analyst

Jailyn has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University. She became an RBT in 2015 while working towards her Bachelor’s. After working as an RBT she quickly realized she did not want to pursue a career as a Speech Pathologist and wanted to become a BCBA. She attended Arizona State University to receive her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction of Applied Behavior Analysis. Jailyn received her BCBA in February of 2019. Her largest area of interest within the field of ABA is caregiver training. Building relationships with families and learning how she can best serve each individual family is her favorite part of what we do. In her free time you can catch Jailyn snuggling with her cat, exploring all of the great walking trails Whatcom County has to offer, or attending any Seattle sporting event (Go M’s & Hawks!).

Jane Nicholson
Behavior Analyst

Jane has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University. She has her Master’s of Education in the Curriculum and Instruction of Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. Prior to becoming a BCBA, Jane was an RBT and began working in ABA in 2017, where she fell in love with the field. Jane received her BCBA certification in August 2019 and has worked in the Whatcom County area since. Jane currently lives in Ferndale with her husband and cat. She enjoys spending time with her family and appreciating the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Jane has a passion for advocating for her clients and helping them grow and succeed. Jane is looking forward to beginning the journey with the Bellingham SOAR Team!

Hannah Brink
Operations Assistant

Hannah Brink worked over a decade in the service industry before joining the SOAR team in 2019. She began work as a Behavior Technician after receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Developmental Psychology from Eastern Washington University.  After being in the position for a year, she took on the role of Operations Assistant where she is able to put her passion for supporting others, streamlining processes, and staying organized into practice in order to help SOAR thrive in every area. Hannah has been a Spokane resident for most of her life where is lives and has begun to raise a family with her husband. In her time off, she likes exploring the cities dining and shopping, traveling to new destinations, doing yoga, cooking, and spending time with close family and friends. Above all else, she loves being a mama to her daughter. She is so thankful to have found a work home in SOAR and looks forward to being a part of the positive difference we are making in each other’s and our clients lives.

Lyn Espinosa
Human Resources Coordinator
Lyn received her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from University of Cebu-Banilad. She is a licensed teacher in the Philippines. She has spent years teaching international students and professionals including her three-year teaching in Japan. She enjoys staying home, spending time with her family, watching movies, and traveling. Lyn is grateful to have been given the chance to work in a company like SOAR which enhances children’s quality of life and makes an impact in the world.

Rasel Canono
Human Resources Coordinator

Rasel Canono received her bachelor’s degree, major in Preschool Education in St. Paul College. She is a licensed Preschool teacher in the Philippines and has spent her 6 years teaching international and professional students. As an educator, she believed in the philosophy of Existentialism. The moment Rasel has been given the opportunity to work at SOAR, she has learned the profoundness of the company’s heart for children and feels blessed to be working at SOAR, for it has a passion for changing and nurturing little ones. Rasel finds herself an outgoing introvert and when not working she can be found solving puzzles, reading, hiking and spending time with her family.

Steve
Steve Poloyapoy
Senior Recruiter

Steve is a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines. He has worked as a language trainer and a recruiter for about 10 years. He has earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of The Visayas. He was an English language teacher in Japan and taught Japanese kids. Working with SOAR as a recruiter is his way of giving others an opportunity to help. He is adventurous, loves traveling, dancing, singing and serving others.

Dakota Hornsby
Intake Coordinator

Dakota Hornsby holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Washington University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy through Capella University. She has been with SOAR since November 2018 and takes great pride in welcoming clients to our SOAR Family. With Dakota’s previous experience as a Behavior Technician, she has had the opportunity to gain knowledge of both the clinical and operational aspects of the company. She is dedicated to ensuring the transition to ABA therapy for families is as smooth and informative as possible. Outside of Dakota’s passions of work and school, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her loved ones!

Jessa Perocho
Intake Coordinator

Jessa  Perocho holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of San Jose-Recoletos , Cebu City, Philippines and was immersed at their university’s affiliated Center for Special Education dedicated to developmental disabilities. She has also worked as a Secondary Language Teacher in Japan for all levels.  Her firsthand experience with relatives diagnosed with autism deeply developed her compassion and empathy to families aiming to obtain ABA therapy in which people don’t have much access in her home country. She hopes to support families and have a meaningful experience at SOAR! When she’s not working, she can be seen teaching or playing with her daughter. She also loves KARAOKE! Working from home motivates her to do Zumba or trekking with her husband.

Arlyn Mamolo
Credentialing Coordinator
Arlyn is a licensed Elementary teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has worked for several ESL companies both online and offline as well as private schools.  She is excited to impart a friendly approach to credentialing. She is excited about working with SOAR clinical staff to get them credentialed with insurance companies so that families can have greater access to care. In her free time, she loves reading books, surfing the internet, and spending time playing with her 5 dogs and 2 cats.

Bobby White
Authorization Manager

Bobby White holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Washington University in Health Services Administration. He currently works as an Authorization Manager for SOAR Behavior Services. In his free time, he likes to hike, ride bikes, and read books. He is passionate about serving those in need and giving back to his community.

Cydney Short
Cydney Short
Biller

Cydney was born and raised in Alaska, where she graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During her undergrad, she worked in a chiropractic office in which she gained knowledge and experience with medical billing. In 2017, Cydney moved to Spokane with her husband and son, and began working with SOAR as a behavioral therapist. She quickly gained a passion for helping children and their families. After a year of working with kids, Cydney stepped behind the scenes to fill SOAR’s need for a medical biller. While the experience of working directly with our clients is irreplaceable, she is thankful to be a part of helping them receive ABA services in their time of need.

Jess Stoliecki
Biller

Jessica Stoliecki lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her husband and two daughters. She received her Associates Degree in Business from Northern Michigan University in 2010. She has been working as a Medical Biller for over a decade. In her free time, she loves riding her horses, camping, and spending time with her family. She looks forward to making a difference with a company that has a huge impact on little lives when they need it most.
